Ryan Mulhearn, CPA: Senior Accounting, Reporting & FP&A Consultant (Triangle)
New entrant to Vaco’s consulting team, though a known commodity. CPA with 30+ years of experience supporting publicly traded companies, including a global multi-national life sciences firm and major financial institutions. Prior to joining Vaco, Ryan held key roles at IQVIA in Master Data Management and Corporate FP&A. In Master Data Management, he led a global team of seven associates, enhancing system processes and reducing response times, while also playing a pivotal role in expanding vendor and customer sanctioned party screening in response to Russian sanctions. In Corporate FP&A, he prepared monthly executive-level reporting, developed chart of account hierarchies to support a new general ledger implementation and served as a subject matter expert in the global rollout of planning, forecasting, and HFM consolidation applications.
At First Citizens Bank, Ryan led the acquisition accounting for an $8.5 billion financial institution, working with valuation specialists, calculating goodwill, forecasting capital ratios, and implementing an improved allowance for loan loss model. As Chief Accounting Officer at Hancock Bank, he led all accounting and reporting functions, overseeing a team of 35 associates. He directed financial reporting for two S-3 stock offerings ($200 million and $175 million) and a $1.4 billion S-4 registration. Ryan began his career in public accounting, spending about 10+ years focused on SEC-registered regional and community banks, including large, accelerated filers.
