Corey Hawley, CPA: Senior Accounting Consultant (Triangle) 

Corey Hawley is an accounting and finance leader with deep experience supporting private equity–backed SaaS companies across financial reporting, reconciliations, process improvement, and transaction support. Through multiple Vaco engagements, he has led reconciliation and reporting initiatives while partnering directly with senior management, demonstrating a strong ability to ramp quickly, perform root cause analysis, identify control and process gaps, and recommend adjusting entries and operational improvements.

Prior to Vaco, Corey served as Controller of Prometheus Group, a Genstar backed growth stage software company, where he oversaw the global accounting and finance function, standardized policies and procedures to support scale and acquisitions, and led key initiatives including payroll process improvements, treasury and AP automation, and ASC 842 adoption. Through his career, Corey has supported seller readiness efforts, contributed to Quality of Earnings analyses, and led integration efforts for addon acquisitions within international reporting environments. He began his career in public accounting, spending seven years leading audits across a range of industries and providing technical guidance on accounting standards and evolving reporting requirements.

Tammy Stogner, CPA: Senior Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting Consultant (Triangle)   

Tammy is a seasoned accounting professional with extensive experience in SEC reporting, technical accounting, shared services, IPO readiness, and all aspects of the close process, and she is available for her next engagement beginning 2/2/26. She has been part of the Vaco network for many years, consistently sought after when she becomes available. Most recently, she spent three years supporting a publicly traded global manufacturing company with SEC filings, technical accounting research, ERP implementation, and monthly close activities, and later returned as Interim Shared Services Controller to remediate a fixed asset related control deficiency within six months.

As a Vaco consultant, she also assisted a private equity backed medical device company with ASC 842 adoption and technical accounting and supported a global clinical research company with multicurrency project reconciliations and loading balances into Oracle. Prior to consulting, Tammy spent over 28 years at IQVIA (formerly QuintilesIMS), managing SEC filings, supporting major transactions including IPOs and acquisitions, overseeing corporate consolidations and U.S. payroll, and contributing heavily to monthly close activities. Earlier in her career, she prepared financial statements and tax related filings for construction industry clients, including reconciliations, journal entries, and payroll reporting.

James Xenos: Senior Accounting & Finance Consultant (Triangle)     

James Xenos is an experienced Vaco consultant completing his first engagement with excellent feedback and is well regarded for his strengths in month end close, system implementations, financial and Board reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Most recently, as Interim VP of Finance for a PE backed marina/real estate company, he led the finance team through a leadership transition, overseeing core operations (close, AP/AR, payroll, treasury, reporting), conducting marina level P&L reviews, presenting monthly results to executives, managing construction draws and development budgets, implementing Yardi’s Construction Manager, supporting automation initiatives, and coordinating audits, tax, and insurance compliance; he now supports parttime while helping build a centralized data warehouse.

Previously, as Director of Finance for OT Growth Partners (a PE backed Orangetheory franchisor), he stepped into CFO responsibilities, leading all accounting and finance, accelerating close via Power BI automation, enhancing reporting packages, implementing NetSuite end to end, and supporting acquisition integration and purchase accounting. Earlier, he served as Accounting & Operations Manager at Union Member House, creating financial and operational infrastructure, securing investor funding, managing POS systems, and overseeing the physical buildout. Molly Richards: SAP Accounting Consultant (Triangle)  

Molly joined Vaco in Spring 2024 as a highly referred consultant with more than 30 years of accounting, finance, and systems implementation experience across manufacturing and service organizations. She has supported clients across month end close, financial analysis and reporting, Procure to Pay, AP/AR optimization, ERP implementations, and project management. Most recently, Molly supported an international publicly traded manufacturer with GRIR research and resolution, AP optimization, and process documentation, recommending improvements that accelerated resolution cycle times and partnering with offshore teams to develop AP exception process maps.

Previously, she completed a yearlong engagement with a global pharmaceutical manufacturer providing post go live SAP S/4HANA support, SOX compliant close activities, balance sheet reconciliations, GRNI analysis, and user training, while also designing and implementing a new GRNI review process in collaboration with FP&A. Molly brings deep SAP FICO expertise as a business process owner and SME, having led multiple global implementations and supported governance, UAT, security and access reviews, and master data migration. Earlier in her career at Eaton, she managed the month end close for a $1.6B division, served as liaison to offshore shared services, and developed strong Procure to Pay expertise, complemented by extensive experience in service finance, revenue recognition, and cost accounting.

Durell Baptist: Revenue & Sales Operations Consultant (Triangle)    

Durell joined Vaco in 2024 and brings nearly 20 years of experience focused on process improvement, operational efficiency, and revenue operations, earning strong client feedback across engagements. Most recently, he supported a private equity–backed waste and logistics company, where he streamlined Salesforce processes to improve revenue tracking and collections, cleared a backlog of more than 300 past-due opportunities, and improved data accuracy, forecasting, and reporting through pipeline audits and RevOps best practices. Durell partnered closely with sales, finance, and operations to align KPIs and implement scalable process improvements that increased cross-functional visibility and efficiency. He previously supported a private equity–backed services company by leading the implementation of its first fully integrated CRM system (HubSpot), training sales teams on a new sales process and eliminating workflow bottlenecks. Prior to Vaco, Durell worked in revenue operations at Bandwidth, where he managed quota and KPI setting, developed data-driven revenue programs, led end-to-end process mapping initiatives, and leveraged SQL for analytics-driven decision-making. Earlier in his career, he served as a management analyst designing and delivering training programs to improve team productivity, and spent 11 years in operations with the U.S. Marine Corps.

Erika Fantroy: Staff Accountant (Triangle)

Experienced Vaco consultant with four years’ experience in operational accounting, currently wrapping up an engagement at a business management consulting firm where she stepped in to manage accounts payable after unexpected turnover. Previously supported an EdTech company with accounts receivable and collections, successfully recovering more than $4 million in past‑due invoices. Also assisted an electrical equipment company by clearing a significant AP backlog caused by a failed automation rollout. After a decade in healthcare, she transitioned into accounting, beginning as a staff accountant responsible for monthly bookkeeping for 18 clients, including AP, AR, fixed assets, journal entries, reconciliations, and grant accounting.

Tony Mikesell: Senior FP&A Consultant (Triangle)    

Tony joined Vaco’s Professional Consulting team in 2022 and brings deep FP&A expertise, partnering with businesses to develop annual budgets, KPIs, and accurate forecasts. Most recently, for a local real estate firm, he built its first bottoms up revenue and expense budget model, recommended reporting improvements, consolidated budgets for leadership review, and collaborated with the CFO and CIO on a liquidity forecast for investment funds and credit lines. For a private equity backed multisite behavioral healthcare client, Tony created the organization’s first multiyear model using Sage Intacct actuals and key growth drivers, evaluated acquisition opportunities, built NewCo financials, and presented actuals and forecasts at Board meetings. A former employer—a PE backed specialty pharma company—also engaged Tony to model the financial impact of exiting a line of business, unify multiple Excel files into a single bonus calculation source of truth, create HR templates for annual increases, and recommend ADP updates.

For a PE backed clinical research organization, he built a revenue forecast model incorporating backlog, new deals, and change orders, and streamlined the company’s pricing model for clearer inputs and scenario analysis. Tony has extensive financial modeling experience, including creating a full 5year IS/BS/CF model used by a PE firm and investment bank to acquire a company twice the size of the original business, as well as developing multiyear business cases for strategic investments, acquisitions, and partnerships. He also served as the finance lead for a Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP implementation, designing data relationships, defining security, and building Power BI reports focused on management and utilization reporting.

Jacob Pavone: Data & Analytics Consultant (Triangle)  

Jacob joined Vaco with a strong focus on leveraging data to drive business decisions and improve operational efficiency. Prior to Vaco, at TriMark Digital, he delivered data visualization for more than 50 clients and internal partners, providing actionable insights for strategic marketing decisions using SQL, Python, and Google BigQuery. At Vaco, Jacob has automated Tableau dashboards for a banking client to quantify asset vulnerability, replacing manual Excel processes and improving speed, accuracy, and security.

For a services company, he designed and built an ETL pipeline to move data from APIs to Snowflake, where daily SQL scripts clean and prepare data for Power BI reporting. He also developed an internal reporting platform enabling Account Managers to customize client-facing reports, enhancing client experience and retention. Additionally, Jacob has led automation initiatives to reduce manual data entry, saving over 30 hours per month through Python, SQL, and cloud-scheduled scripts.

Pik Yuen Lee, CPA: Senior Reporting & Audit Consultant (Atlanta) 

Pik Yuen is a senior accounting and SOX/ICFR consultant with 20+ years of experience across public accounting and private equity–backed and publicly traded companies—spanning IPO readiness, SEC reporting, audits, month end close, SOX compliance, and technical accounting areas including debt, stock based compensation, consolidation, and complex estimates. Since joining Vaco in 2022, she has supported clients through IPO preparation and SOX remediation, most recently serving as the primary ICFR tester for a PE backed clinical research organization, leading walkthroughs and interim and Q4 testing across Tax, Derivatives, and Consolidation cycles while partnering with management to rationalize controls and drive meaningful efficiency gains.

Pik Yuen has also led SOX reimplementation and remediation efforts for public manufacturing and retail clients, managing largescale control environments and collaborating closely with internal audit and Big Four audit teams. Blair Hughes, CPA: Senior Audit & Corporate FP&A Consultant (Charlotte) 

Blair is a finance and internal audit consultant with experience spanning FP&A, SOX compliance, carveouts, and divestitures across private equity–backed and publicly traded companies. Since joining Vaco in 2022, he has delivered strong results supporting both FP&A and internal audit functions, most notably for a PE backed telecommunications company where he managed Board reporting, debt covenant compliance, advanced multiyear financial modeling, and revenue and margin forecasting while driving meaningful improvements in reporting clarity, automation, and data management. Blair has also supported public industrial technology companies through SOX testing during complex divestitures, partnering closely with internal audit and external auditors and materially reducing audit effort and fees through high quality testing and documentation.

Previously, he served as interim Assistant Controller during a divestiture, supporting close execution, enhancing reconciliation and close processes, and assisting with yearend audits, and has prepared carveout financial statements and technical accounting memoranda. Earlier in his career, Blair helped stand up FP&A functions for newly public companies and served in internal audit roles supporting SOX gap assessments and risk assessments at international organizations.

Kevin Collins: Senior Accounting & Audit Consultant (Triangle)

Kevin joined Vaco in 2022 highly recommended by a former Credit Suisse colleague and strongly endorsed by his EY network, bringing expertise in accounting, audit, financial reporting, internal controls, and project management. Since joining Vaco, he has supported a wide range of complex engagements, including serving on the Financial Reporting & Controls team for a global consumer products company, where he reviewed and remediated controls, moderated auditor walkthroughs, managed quarterly close-related activities, and prepared risk and control matrices for international business units. He has partnered with private equity–backed pharmaceutical, retail, insurance, and manufacturing clients, delivering SOX and Model Audit Rule support, audit preparation, walkthroughs, and internal control testing, while improving documentation and advising on AuditBoard implementations—often earning strong feedback and repeat engagement interest. Erin Bednarek: Data Science Consultant (Triangle)

Erin is a highly technical data scientist and project leader with expertise in data modeling, machine learning, and statistical analysis, complemented by strong Agile project management capabilities. In her consulting work, she has driven impactful initiatives including leading a banking project to automate collateral reporting from a monthly to a daily cadence through enhanced business requirements and SQL development, and building predictive revenue, churn, and sales models for a real estate client using Snowflake data to enable forward-looking insights. Prior to Vaco, Erin led advanced R&D efforts supporting the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army, developing sophisticated predictive dynamical system models using parameter estimation and uncertainty quantification to significantly enhance model accuracy. She is also skilled in data visualization, creating Tableau dashboards to communicate complex findings, and has performed extensive exploratory data analysis in Python using Azure and SQL-based datasets. Beyond her technical strengths, Erin is known for her ability to manage Agile workflows using Jira and Confluence and to produce clear, comprehensive documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences, often contributing to materials used in securing large-scale government contracts.
