Cathy Shim
Managing Partner, Vaco
Cathy is the Managing Partner of Vaco in Detroit, where she oversees operations and leads a team dedicated to serving clients and professionals in the local communities. She is passionate about driving growth and fostering a culture of excellence within the team.
Cathy has nearly 14 years of experience in both consulting and talent solutions, boasting a track record of driving innovation and creating impactful solutions for her clients. Most recently, Shim served as a Senior Business Development Executive for a technology services consulting firm in the Detroit area. Previously, Shim spent several years at a global technology staffing and business solutions firm, where she held multiple leadership positions across the United States and Canada, including Senior Manager of Strategic Partnerships, Eastern Canada Account Lead and Director of Business Operations.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, husband and two Bernese mountain dogs.
