Rachael Stout lights up a room with her positivity and colorful style! She has 10 years of experience in Sales & Recruiting within the supply chain, manufacturing and logistics space. Ambitious, dependable, and advocate are three words she'd use to describe herself.
Q: Why do you do the job you do?
A: After 5 years in sales, I knew I needed a career change because I was burnt out on the “sell.” This career allows me to do what I love most; work with people, but most importantly HELP clients and candidates. It has been the perfect balance for me. This role has afforded me endless opportunities to learn, educate, advise, and assist people every single day. I am forever mindful of the “person” in the decision seat when making a hire or career transition; it gives me great satisfaction when I find the best match for the client and candidate.
Not to forget, my 11-year-old daughter, Maya. The core of my daily “why?”
Q:What is one piece of advice you wish you could tell your younger self?
A: You cannot be everything to everyone.
Q: Who is your biggest inspiration?
A: My sister, Jessica DeVilbiss. Jessica laid the framework for me to follow in her footsteps. She encouraged me to move into recruiting. We grew up in a single parent household, our mother cleaned houses for a living. While my mom is a super-hero herself, my sister supported me and held me accountable from a young age. I learned from her example; to be self-motivated, to take school seriously, and to reach for a life that we did not have. Jessica was a first-generation college student; she has 15+ years of experience in talent acquisition, ran her own LLC for 5 years and is my biggest cheerleader. She is the first person I call for professional advice and the first person to tell me to close my laptop when I am “overworking.” It is true that while growing up we were quite opposites, but as adults we are best friends.
Rachael is obsessed with true crime podcast and is currently binging Crime Junkies! She's also watching Gilmore Girls with her daughter and reading Where the Crawdads Sing.
